In an extensive new report from the Wall Street Journal , sources close to Netflix revealed that the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things Season 4 “has a per-episode cost” of $30M.
This means that Season 4 of Stranger Things has a total production budget as high as $270 million.
The series will be in two parts. Stranger Things Season 4 part one will premiere on Netflix, on 27th May The second part will arrive on Netflix in July 1st.
If this is true, this would make Stranger Things SN4 the more expensive than the majority of movies, including every Marvel film outside of three Avengers films. Even surpassing Game of Thrones‘ $15 million USD budget, one of the most expensive series ever made.
