Singer and TV Personality Kambua lost her dad professor Manundu in 2014. Professor Manundu was the proprietor of Manundu Health Clinics.

In 2020, Kambua revealed how much it saddened her that her father did not get to meet her son.
She said;
“Grief is like unfamiliar, uncharted waters no one can fully prepare you for. Grief is multilayered; just when you think it’s over, it reveals itself in a new light. I have grieved the fact that he never got to meet my beautiful baby boy.”
Kambua was not a parent yet, when his dad passed on.
