Addressing the current video of a woman who was assaulted and sexually harassed by rowdy bodaboda riders, TV Presenter Kambua expressed her dismay and disappointment on the incident.
“Matter of fact, I hardly slept, thinking through the bodaboda incident. The motorist who was assaulted happened to be a woman, and I’ve seen so many other similar stories do the rounds on the socials”.
She addressed her concerns on the security of women in the country.
“O God! The men you created to protect us are assaulting us in broad daylight! They are assaulting us in our work places, in our homes, on the socials…they are asking us to carry rungus’ and pangas in order to be safe. My heart is so heavy. SO HEAVY!”.
“We must do better”, she added

“We have stooped so low as a society. Where’s our humanity? We can’t even accord each other the most basic level of dignity”.
“A bodaboda is not a license to strip a woman. There should never be a repeat of what happened on Friday. This is a blight on the whole Kenyan society.” President Uhuru Kenyatta said following Friday’s the incident where a group of rogue riders attacked and molested a female driver.
He directed a crackdown on all rogue bodabodas across the country.
