Earlier this week, it was announced that Kanye West had dropped out of his headlining slot at Coachella. The festival subbed in The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia in the rapper’s place.
The Weeknd is now demanding Kanye West’s $8.6M Coachella paycheck and threatens to back out if the fee is not met. According to Page 6, ‘ The Weeknd threatened to pull out if he wasn’t paid the same amount as West, who was set to rake in $8 million plus a $500,000 production fee.
Kanye West bailed on the gig less than two weeks before showtime.
